Women's Health
Women’s health is a difficult area for traditional medicine to correctly diagnose and properly treat. Women are often subjected to invasive interventions which attempt to address symptoms and not underlying cause(s). Utilizing effective manual touch therapy and valuable self-care education, women can greatly improve their own health and wellness. Typical issues include painful menstruation, painful intercourse, infertility, bladder problems, pelvic floor dysfunction, and breast concerns.
Initial Appointment and Evaluation
Initial appointment includes client evaluation/assessment with question-and-answer period between the provider and client about current wellness concerns and appointment expectations; remainder of session includes manual touch therapy using Myofascial Release techniques and self-care instruction. Pelvic floor is worked externally, with attention paid to lower abdomen and connective tissue around pelvic bones.

External Pelvic Floor
Manual touch therapy session using Myofascial Release techniques and self-care instruction. Pelvic floor is worked externally, with attention paid to lower abdomen and connective tissue around pelvic bones.

Internal Pelvic Floor
Manual touch therapy session using Myofascial Release techniques and self-care instruction. Pelvic floor is worked on both externally and internally. Appointment includes question-and-answer for client learning and comfort. Client boundaries are discussed and respected. Internal pelvic floor appointments are only scheduled after the client has had an external pelvic floor appointment with the provider and a need for internal work has been recognized.

Because internal work is more impactful, sessions are never more than 90 minutes long.

C- Section Scar Remediation
Manual touch therapy session with self-care instruction, initially using Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and later Myofascial Release (MFR) techniques. MLD is used during the first 4-8 weeks post surgery to reduce swelling and aid recovery near site. MFR techniques are used directly on and around scarring after the incision site is healed.
